"Labor of Love" is a profound exploration of unseen labor and its connection to memory, heritage, and identity. The tapestry, exhibited alongside the film, stands as a physical testament to over 48 hours of dedicated work. From preparing the fabric to washing, dyeing, and layering, each step reflects an act of care and devotion, transforming raw materials into a deeply personal narrative.

In the accompanying film, I perform washing gestures—movements that were integral to creating the tapestry and rooted in my memories of watching my mother. These gestures weave together the physicality of labor and the emotional resonance of remembrance, connecting generations through shared actions. "Labor of Love" invites viewers to consider the weight and beauty of unseen work, honoring the ways in which our lived experiences and familial histories shape our instinctive knowledge and creative expressions.
